William Shakespeare: Born in Statford-upon-Avon on the 26th April 1564 and passed away on the 23rd April 1616.
He was an english poet, playwright and actor and is regarded the greatest writer in the English language.
His early plays were mainly comedies and histories until writing tragedies such as:
– Romeo and Juliet – “Don’t waste your love on somebody, who doesn’t value it.”
– Hamlet – “To be, or not to be, that is the question.”
– Macbeth – “What’s done cannot be undone.”
– Othello – “For she had eyes and chose me.”
Those are a few famous lines that I love from Shakespeare’s most famous pieces of art.
I’m writing about William Shakespeare because I came across this legendary picture of The Beatles celebrating Shakespeare’s 400th Birthday in April 1964 and wanted to share it with you all.
