Nicolas Jaar is back with Sirens

Since I discovered Nicolas Jaar and all of his projects, I felt something unexplainable. From A Time For Us and Avalanche (alongside Sasha Spielberg) to his Darkside project.

On the 14th October, Chilean artist Jaar will release his LP, Sirens. (It’s already available digitally).

Have a listen to The Strokes new material, here!

About 2 years ago I got the chance to interview Julian Casablancas with his band Julian Casabalancas + the Voidz.

I must say, interviewing Julian and the boys is definitely in my Top 5 interviews!

Well, Julian is also the frontman of one of the most important rock bands of my era, I’m talking about The Strokes.

Phantogram Thursday

Phantogram are a New York based band that formed in 2007 by Sarah Barthel (vocals and keyboards) and Josh Carter (vocals and guitar).

Inspired by artists such as Serge Gainsbourg, Bowie, Cocteau Twins, Sonic Youth, The Beatles and more, they have a very unique sound as the majority of the bands I mentioned have very different sounds.

This is one of my fave songs by the duo.

Happy Thursday, y’all!

Phanotogram – When I’m Small

Today I’m interviewing A Place To Bury Strangers

Today I’m interviewing New York based psychedelic rock band, A Place To Bury Strangers.

Oliver, Dion and Robi formed APTBS back in 2002 and their biggest musical influence is The Jesus and Mary Chain.

The guys have opened up for Nine Inch Nails, joined the Black Rebel Motorcycle Club back in 2007 on their Holy Fuck tour, supported MGMT and have toured all around the world.

Woodstock album cover couple are still together

The couple from the Woodstock album cover are still together, over 45 years later!

Woodstock is the famous music festival that took place on August 15th, 16th and 17th 1969 in Bethel, New York.

The still to this day highly spoken about 3 day music festival is known as one of the 50 moments that changed the history of Rock and Roll.

A few of the acts to perform were, Joan Baez (who was 6 months preggers at the time), Bert Sommer, Grateful Dead, Santana, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Sly & The Family Stone, The Who, Joe Cocker, Janis Joplin, Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young and a bunch more.

This is the Woodstock album cover:

And this is the couple today!
