It’s just a feeling…
It’s just a feeling…
Frontman and guitar player of Kings of Leon – Caleb – is a very attractive and talented man, but, in their latest video Walls you can see way beyond all of that.
At the beginning of the video, you can see Caleb from a far sat on a chair playing his guitar, as the song advances, so does the camera… I don’t want to spoil it for you… So, please have a look at the video and watch it until the very end.
I personally loved the song, and the video is perfect for it. Very relaxing yet extremely deep.
Warning: I got goosebumps…
If Friday were a song, I think this would be one of the options.
I want some California Love in my life!
2 Pac ft. Dr. Dre – California Love
I was listening to a music programme the other day and it was all about Eurodance music.
Eurodance is a genre of electronic music that originated in the late 1980’s in Europe (obviously…)!
I’m a big fan of this genre of music and it’s a massive part of who I am!
Growing up in Manchester, England, I listened to this music all the time! On MTV – when they actually played music, on the radio (shout out to Key 103!!!), on the school bus, at parties, at the shops and so on.
I decided to share a few of my fave songs of this genre, hope you enjoy them as much as I do!
(I got a bit too excited and posted a lot of songs, I know I missed out a few, but if I actually put all the 90’s tunes I listened to back then, you guys wouldn’t be going out this weekend.)
One of my faves!!!
Daft Punk – One More Time
The Scatman – Scatman John
Bomfunk MC’s – Freestyler
Next up: INCREDIBLE TUNE!!!
Vengaboys – Boom, Boom, Boom, Boom!!
Ian Van Dahl – Castles In The Sky
ATC – All Around The World (la la la la la la)
Next Up: National anthem in the UK in the 90’s!
Ace Of Base – All That She Wants
Snap – Rhythm Is A Dancer
Alice DJ – Better Off Alone
The Shapeshifters – Lola’s Theme
La Bouche – Be My Lover
Mr President – Coco Jambo
Next Up: This is not one of my faves, but we ALL listened to this back in the day!
Eiffel 65 – Blue (Da Ba Dee)
Next up: LOVEEEEEEE THIS ONE!!
Moloko – Sing It Back
Next up: CLASSSSSSSSSSIC!!!
Modjo – Lady
Madison Avenue – Don’t Call Me Baby
Next up: Kind of annoying, but it’s a classic!
Phats & Small – Turn Around
Next up: Me personal favourite
Olive – You’re Not Alone
I would love to share every photo, article, video, story and so on that I’ve read and seen about David Bowie, but I can’t… I’m kind of overwhelmed at the moment with the whole situation.
One thing I would like to say is:
“When people accept and understand that one doesn’t have to know the whole life of an artist, their discography, know everyone they’ve worked/toured/drank/partied with, to be able to mourn someone’s loss, but accept that a person (he or she) changed something in them, made them a better person, believe, feel or whatever… That day this world will be a better place.” – I wrote this
Yesterday was an emotional day for many, for others it was like any other Monday, the point I want to get to is that no one has to explain or justify their reasons.
Do not take life too seriously. You will never get out of it alive. – Elbert Hubbard
We are human and humans judge, so you won’t EVER please everyone.
Yesterday a lot of people were throwing crap at one another on social media sites (obviously not face to face) saying that they aren’t fans of David Bowie, because they don’t know all his lyrics and only know 3 songs.. You know what? Does it matter if a person is a fan or not of a band or artist or celebrity? Who is one to decide who is a fan WORTHY enough to be called a FAN? YOU can be whatever and whoever you want.
The world is going through a lot of changes, people are waking up by the second and more and more people are following their dreams each and everyday… If we all put in a grain of rice (I LOVE rice) of love or passion, honesty, or anything we can give that’s positive to the world, WE can make this a better place.
So please, stop hating on one another, instead of focusing on the bad, look at the good and positive, we all have something or many things to offer and contribute with to make this a better place.
Have a lovely day, and remember, we can be heroes, just for one day….
Foo Fighters – Times Like These
Everyday this week I’ll be posting a 90’s Brit Pop song that I love!
If you have any recommendations or faves, please let me know and I’ll try and add them.
ENJOY and remember, MUSIC MAKES THE WORLD GO ROUND!
The first song on my list is Pick A Part That’s New by Stereophonics.
Stereophonics are a Welsh rock band that formed in 1992.
The song I picked by the Welsh band is on their album Performance and Cocktails (1999).
Stereophonics – Pick A Part That’s New
Being a 20 something year old girl, (27 to be exact) social, fun, weird, intense, emotional, single and a totally HONEST, to the point and direct gal has helped me in a lot of ways…. Minus one.
1) Family: I am extremely grateful for the Dad and sisters I got blessed with!!! – Yes, we have our ups and down, differences, we’re human and have our own ways of thinking and being, but I think as long as everyones respects everyone, we can all Float On.
Without you 3, I don’t know where I’d be <3
2) Friends: Thanks to all those in my life, whether you’re still a part of it or not, well, such is life, hold on to the good ones, never give up and recognize the honest, loving and good people.
3) Work: I do what I love!!! You know how satisfying that is?!! Well, it’s incredible!!! I’m not going to make out that it’s a piece of cake, I’m struggling, and would like to basically be the next Fearne Cotton, but whatever… Hahahaha! As Bobby Womack sang, When There’s A Will There’s A Way!
4) Men: –
I’m sure you noticed that number 4 is blank…. You know why? Well… It’s because even though guys say girls are crazy and complicated and don’t say things up front… Well, yes, I am a girl and I’m a tad crazy, but I am VERY direct. I say what’s on my mind, I don’t do the whole drama ritual of not answering the phone for a few hours or even days, block or delete a guy – that’s SO 90’s – or any of that if a guy does something I don’t agree with… I actually confront him… and guess where that has gotten me?! ABSOLUTELY nowhere.
So, after all the years playing on the field, from rounders, football to american football, I have come to a conclusion. Ready?
Do whatever the hell YOU (not your mate Sally, or cousin Laura who married the most perfect guy and can give you the “best” piece of advice) want to do, for when you meet THE ONE, you will know and he will accept you EXACTLY how YOU are.
Same goes for you accepting him… No one is perfect, including yourself, you have to recognize that, and there will be things you don’t looooove about your partner. That’s where the famous term “agree to disagree” comes into the picture. – THAT DOES NOT MEAN SETTLE – but, if he is a guy you love hanging out with, have fun, supports you, loves you, admires you – if he didn’t take out the rubbish and/or dry the dishes – which I think is absolutely ridiculous as they dry alone when you put them on the drying rack – have a go at him, but not as if you caught the guy cheating on you with your best friend! Relax, get your point across and then have fun! Life’s too short.
Your mum, dad, sister, brother, friend, colleague, pet dog, fish or therapist is not the person that will wake up everyday (however long the relationship lasts – yes, I do believe in true love and of the term FOREVER, for those wondering) next to this person, but you… So just do whatever makes you happy.
Don’t go over the What’s? If? Why? How? When? Those questions can mess you up big time… Sometimes an hour, sometimes a week, sometimes a lifetime, but just remember, as long as you were you and did everything that was in you, It’s not your fault.
I’m a humongous fan of Lykke Li, and as today is Tuesday and I just feel like I’m floating through the week, I decided this would be today’s Track of the day.
Enjoy and remember, everything and anything is possible.
NEVER give up.
On a day like today but in 1985, Back to the Future was released.
Back to the Future is a CLASSIC science fiction film directed by Robert Zemeckis, written by Bob Gale and Zemeckis, produced by Steven Spielberg, starring Christopher Lloyd, Michael J. Fox, Crispin Glover, amongst others.
Marty McFly – bliss surname – (Fox) was sent back in time to 1955, he meets his future parents at high school and accidentally becomes his mums romantic interest… As a sum of all this, Marty must make his parents to be fall in love, this is where Doc (Lloyd) comes into the story. Lloyd is an electric scientist and he is the one to help Marty try and return to 1985 again.
As it’s Back to the Future’s 30 year anniversary, I’d like to share a few songs and performances from the iconic movie.
Huey Lewis & The News – The Power of Love
Eric Clapton – Heaven is One Step Away
Lindsey Buckingham – Time Bomb Time
The Four Aces – Mr. Sandman
Etta James – The Wallflower (Dance with me Henry)
Marty McFly performing Johnny B. Goode
I came across this last night and had to share it with you all…
The title of the post is exactly what you’ll read ahead – PLUS, I added a lovely playlist at the end of it which you MUST listen to!
Never settle ladies and gentleman.
Only gives you attention when it’s convenient. If this person is in the mood to see and to interact with you, if this person wants or needs that interaction, then this person will give you attention.
Otherwise, if this person isn’t in the mood to talk to you, to help you, to spend time with you, to be there for you, he or she will simply be unavailable – until, of course, it’s convenient to be there.
Is there for you because being there for you is something this person needs to do. This person needs to keep you safe and happy. This person needs you to enjoy life so that he or she, in turn, can enjoy life.
Regardless of whether it’s convenient or not, this person will be there for you. This person will do anything to avoid losing you, even if it means sucking it up from time to time and doing the little things he or she isn’t especially excited to do.
Will keep the conversations to a minimum. This person puts up with you because you serve a purpose.
This person understands that this means he or she will have to talk to you in order for you to feel comfortable enough to allow him or her to use you, but if this person could have it his or her way, conversations would be avoided altogether. This person doesn’t care what you have to say because this person doesn’t really care about you.
Will do anything to keep you. This is the type of person who is always interested to hear what you have to say. This person wants to know about your day, to know what you did, what you ate, whom you interacted with.
This person wants to know every little bit about you because he or she is still trying to figure out why it is that he or she needs you so much.
This person knows he or she couldn’t bear living without you, but this person can’t exactly pinpoint the reason why.
This person is in love with you because this person is in love with you, and although that’s enough of an explanation, this person still wants to figure you out.
Never makes long-term plans with you and avoids talking about your future. This person doesn’t want to plan any trips for next month — hell, he or she may not even want to plan dinner for next week.
This person doesn’t want to promise that he or she will see you again because it may never happen.
Every time this person leaves you, there’s a good chance it will be for the last time. You never know… maybe this person will find something better, or simply newer, later this week.
Has no problems planning trips or discussing your relationship. This person may not be able to promise you forever, but at the moment, he or she sees no reason not to.
During conversation, this person will mention things that you need to do together, that you need to see and experience together.
This person will talk as if the two of you were the same person, living life side by side. When a person needs you — really needs you — that person sees his or her entire future with you in it.
Will never love you. If you pay close attention and remain as objective as possible, you can tell how much a person cares about you.
It can be difficult to distance ourselves in such a way when we believe ourselves to be falling in love, but it must be done if you wish to avoid wasting your time and getting your heart broken.
If this person looks at you and smiles and you can tell he or she isn’t just looking at you, but looking into you, then you may have a keeper on your hands.
Either loves you or will soon accept that he or she loves you. A person who only wants you will never love you. It can be difficult for people to admit to themselves that they love other people — forget about admitting it to them. It takes some people significantly more time than others.
However, just because people can’t admit it — to you or themselves — that they love you doesn’t mean they will never admit that they love you. You have to be patient with people.
