This is what happens when you put two of the most important boy bands of the 90’s together

As a kid I was a MASSIVE fan of Boyzone and Westlife… To be honest, I was a bigger Take That fan but I loved Boyzone and Westlife too.

Well………. This is for all those 80’s kids (maybe early 90’s kids too)…. Brian McFadden (Westlife) and Keith Duffy (Boyzone) are uniting forces to create a duo called Boyzlife!!!!!!!!!!!!

Keith and Brian

Boyzlife will be on the road in March across the UK for 12 days sharing their stories and performing their best known songs… (Which I’m sure will include Words, Baby Can I Hold You, Picture Of You, Fool Again (filmed in Mexico!!!), Flying Without Wings, World Of Our Own and more).

Boyzone – how I remember them!

Westlife – what they looked like in the late 90’s/early 2000’s

I can’t wait to see what the boys are cooking!

BLAST from the past, that’s for sure!

Sit back and remember the good old days with the following tunes I picked out…

Boyzone – When The Going Gets Tough

Westlife – Swear It Again

The Stone Roses have a surprise for us!

The Stone Roses are set to make an announcement in the next few hours!

The following rumor began when posters of the famous lemon logo the band are recognized for started appearing in shop windows around Manchester (place where the band are from).

I saw this announcement on the news, and Matt was the guy that tweeted the pictures of the lemon all over town, Matt you are a LEGEND!
I saw The Stone Roses announcement on the news, and Matt was the guy that tweeted the pictures of the lemon all over town, Matt you are a LEGEND!

They could be announcing a new album, a massive festival headline slot or a tour; whatever it may be, I’m delighted!

I feel a massive connection with bands from Manchester as I’m a Manc too, and I must say, The Stone Roses are DEFINITELY in my top 5 Manchester bands list of all time.

P.s If the guys go on tour, plan a few concerts or whatever, I would recommend you to go see them as they are insane live, absolutely incredible!

Have a listen to one of my fave tracks by the boys, Waterfall!

Xabi Alonso ain’t just a pretty face and ace footballer…

Apart from being extremely handsome, down to earth and a whiz on the pitch, Xabi Alonso sure knows what music to listen to.

Over the past few months and years he’s tweeted songs such as:

Galaxie 500 – Isn’t It A Pity

Lou Reed – Perfect Day (Xabi tweeted this song on the day Lou passed away – 27 October 2013 – and wrote the following: “Not perfect day. RIP Lou Reed.”)

The Velvet Underground – Pale Blue Eyes

The Brian Jonestown Massacre – It Girl

Dinosaur Jr – Don’t Pretend You Didn’t Know

Monty Python – Always Look On The Bright Side Of Life (Alonso had a foot operation back in August of 2013 and tweeted this song, he also thanked his fans and followers for their good wishes)

Well, I’m sure you guys get the jist of all of this…

Darkchild will release a 20th anniversary compilation album

Rodney Jerkins AKA Darkchild is a well known musician, record producer, songwriter and rapper.

Darkchild is only 37 years old and has collaborated with artists such as Michael Jackson, Whitney Houston, Luther Vandross, Beyoncé, Rihanna, Lady Gaga and many more.

His most well-known productions are “You Rock My World” – Michael Jackson,  “Say My Name” – Destiny’s Child, “He Wasn’t Man Enough” – Toni Braxton and “It’s Not Right But It’s Okay” by Whitney Houston.

Rodney is remaking a number of hit songs he has written and produced for his 20th anniversary compilation album and artists such as Sam Smith, Ariana Grande and Jessie J will be featured on it.

Jerkins revealed in an interview that Sam told him that that song (Whitney Houston’s It’s Not Right But It’s Okay) was the song that made him want to sing.

Destiny’s Child – Say My Name

London based record label, Young Turks isn’t too happy and they have all the reason not to be!

Young Turks – a London based record label for SBTRKT, John Talabot, Chairlift, Jack Penate, The xx, and more isn’t too happy at the moment….

Hugo Boss used a song made by an unidentified producer that sounded identical to The xx‘s Intro for a sunglasses advert. I understand why the record label got all steamed up and it seems as though HB have removed the video from YouTube.

Have a listen to Intro here!

Amber has filed for divorce…

Rumours are true, Amber Rose and Wiz Khalifa are getting divorced after only a year of marriage.

Earlier this week Amber filed for divorce with news and gossip flying all over the place that Amber herself cheated on Khalifa…

Tweets by the model, actress and singer saying the following have been uploaded over the last few days:
“Please stop with the fake stories. I would never ever ever cheat on my husband in a million years I think u guys know this…..” – 10:09am 25 Sept 2014
“Unfortunately my now ex husband can’t say the same….” – 10:30am 25 Sept 2014
“I’m devastated and crushed but my main focus is Sebastian. Thank u for all the support in this difficult time.” – 10:33am 25 Sept 2014

Which Wiz responded with a photo of him and his dog with the following caption: “Smile for the day.” at 1.21pm on the same day as Amber’s tweets.

The couple had a son together, Sebastian, hopefully everything will work out for the best!

Wiz Khalifa – We Dem Boyz

Fergie has a Glamorous surprise for us

Black Eyed Peas singer – and hot stuff Josh Duhamel’s wife, Fergie is supposedly bringing out a new album after 8 years!

There’s a lot of chit chatter on whether or not it’s a new album, a sequel to The Dutchess and so on, but the album (that we don’t know exists or not) is supposed to come out in 2015 with a new single dropping before the end of the year. is the one handling the production for Fergie’s second studio album, and if her songs are anything like Big Girls Don’t Cry and Glamorous, I’m sure her album’s going to be stupendous!

I’m a big fan of Fergie’s solo work, have a listen to my two fave songs of The Dutchess below.

Fergie ft. Ludacris – Glamourous

Fergie – Big Girls Don’t Cry

Darkside is coming to an end

Electronic duo, Darkside is coming to an end. Nicolas Jaar and Dave Harrington will play their last show at the Brooklyn Masonic Temple on September 12th.

Darkside EP consisted of three songs and came out in November 2011. It was very well received critically and got an 8.0 from Pitchfork.

Random Access Memories Memories was the duos second collaboration and came out in June 2013. The project which was uploaded to a SoundCloud account under the pseudonym DaftSide, is a remix of Daft Punk’s 2013 album Random Access Memories in its entirety.

Physic is the duos debut album and it came out last October. I have the CD and it’s ravishing, from beginning to end. The cool thing about the release of the album was that Jaar and Harrington invited fans to listen to the album with them at a small venue on New York’s Lower East Side, and so many people showed up that the band had to do two listening sessions to accommodate all of the people!

They’ll be missed!

Darkside – Heart (off their Physic album)
