As I recently wrote about Kurt Cobain and the documentary that was just released, I was surfing around and found this piece of gold…
I’m sure many of you have seen or heard this Unplugged album, but to be honest, I hadn’t until a few days ago.
I’m not going to sit here and make out as if I’m the number one fan of the band, I admire them massively and think their music is very thought out, deep and for filling, but I can’t say I’ve ever sat down and heard a whole album of the boys from beginning to end; Well, I just recently listened to the whole Unplugged album, which btw has some incredible chit chat going on between the guys and the audience between one song and another and includes songs such as Come As You Are, a cover of David Bowie‘s The Man Who Sold the World, Dumb and a bunch more.
But I want to talk about one specific song and performance off the Unplugged album which was recorded on November 18, 1993 in New York at Sony Music Studios.
If you’ve seen it, have another look and listen to it, and if you haven’t, I promise, you’ll understand why I’m ranting on and on about it after the first 17 seconds of the video.
